Roles and Permissions Module
The Roles and Permissions Module is a key component of the SaaS accounting software, allowing administrators to manage user access and define roles with specific permissions. This module ensures secure and streamlined operations across the platform.
Submodules and Features
1. Users
Manage users and their access levels effectively.
Add a User
- Navigate to the Users section in the Roles and Permissions Module.
- Click on the Add User button.
- Fill in the required details such as name, email, role, and password.
- Assign a role to the user.
- Click Save to add the user.
Edit a User
- Navigate to the Users section.
- Locate the user you wish to edit and click the Edit button.
- Update the user’s details or assigned role.
- Click Save to apply the changes.
Deactivate a User
- Go to the Users section.
- Locate the user and click the Deactivate button.
- Confirm the action in the prompt.
View User Details
- Navigate to the Users section.
- Click on a user’s name to view detailed information about them.
Assign Roles
- Navigate to the Users section.
- Select a user and click Assign Role.
- Choose a role from the list and save.
2. Roles
Define and manage roles to control access to specific features and functionalities.
Add a Role
- Navigate to the Roles section in the Roles and Permissions Module.
- Click on Add Role.
- Enter the role name and description.
- Select the permissions to assign to this role.
- Click Save to create the role.
Edit a Role
- Navigate to the Roles section.
- Locate the role and click Edit.
- Update the role’s name, description, or permissions.
- Save the changes.
View Role Details
- Navigate to the Roles section.
- Click on a role to view its details and assigned permissions.
Delete a Role
- Locate the role in the Roles section.
- Click the Delete button.
- Confirm the action.
